Let’s
be honest, few people are really happy with the choice between Clinton and
Trump. So there is a lot of talk about
how you should vote your conscience and vote for a third party candidate. Now voting for the candidate who shares your
views sounds like a good idea, but is it really practical? If there was only one issue in an election,
then you could have a candidate who supports it, one who opposes it, and maybe
one who says more thought needs to be put into it. But that’s not the real world. There are hundreds of issues in an election
covering everything from foreign policy, to economic and social issues. There’s no way two, or three, or even a dozen
candidates could cover all the bases. So
either there needs to be hundreds of candidates to cater to every political
subfaction there is, or some subfactions will just have to accept that instead
of voting for someone who shares all of their views they will have to
compromise and vote for a candidate who only shares some of their views.
